Lauren McIntyre
Lauren is originally from Morgantown, West Virginia but has been a resident in Southwest Florida since 2017. After graduating high school, she attended West Virginia University and Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College where she studied nursing for her first two years. During her second year, Lauren changed her major and obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Elementary Education from SWVCTC. She returned to WVU and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with a minor in English, History, and Spanish. While attending WVU Lauren was a leader in her sorority Alpha Omicron Pi, an active member of Campus Crusade for Christ, and founded WVU’s Spanish Club. She also maintained employment as a customer service representative for a large grocer, a dance teacher, an independent salesperson, and became a certified yoga instructor. Upon graduating from WVU, Lauren was offered a property management position in Morgantown with a private family-owned business. While she enjoyed her position in that section of real estate, Lauren needed more to make her life complete; she began her teaching career in 2014 in her hometown.
In 2017, Lauren moved to south Fort Myers where some family members had been living for over a decade. She accepted a position teaching Exceptional Student Education for Geometry and History and teaching Senior English at a high school in Naples where she would remain though 2021. In early 2018, Lauren moved to the Buckingham area with her husband, Steven, who had lived there since 2016. She fell in love with the beauty of Buckingham immediately and still comments on its splendor nearly every day. Having resided in these two areas of Fort Myers and having worked in Naples, Lauren has substantial knowledge of SWFL. With John R. Wood Properties, Island Palm Region, and ProTeam Florida behind her, Lauren is committed to ensuring that your home is viewed by the right buyers and helping you find the home of your dreams.
After years of building and nurturing friendships and business relationships, and noticing that SWFL is one of the fastest growing areas in the nation, Lauren decided that helping people find their forever home was something she was interested in pursuing. Lauren currently resides in Buckingham with her husband, Steven, and their son, Seth. They have a dog named Oliver and two cats, Wile E. Dire and Mina. When she is not buying and selling real estate she enjoys spending time her family and friends, singing, dancing, kayaking, boating, reading, yoga, festivals, and volunteering for various organizations such as GLSEN Collier and the SHINE Team.
