Artists displayed their work at the annual Fine Art Festival at the Sanibel Community House. Hosted by the Sanibel Community Association and Boulderbrook Productions, it featured over 50 artists showcasing a range of work, including paintings, sculptures, jewelry, hand blown glass, and photography.
Visitors to the event strolled the surroundings of The Sanibel Community House where dozens of artists from all over lined the walkways displaying a variety of artworks. A one of a kind painting or sculpture will be the piece of art that you can build a room around. Proceeds from the event benefited The Sanibel Community House
“We have a lot of requests for art festivals and people love them,” Teresa Riska-Hall, executive director of The Community House, said. “Plus, January’s kind of the slower season for people here on the island, so it gives them something for them to do.”

“It’s a small boutique show. It’s not as big as some of the other fairs,” she said. “But, we get a unique quality (of work) – it might be a one-of-a-kind pottery or silk painted lampshades.”
